Its an important election year so if you cannot make it to the polls on 11/4 find out how you can still vote.
CLICK HERE TO GET THE KANSAS APPLICATION
Voting Early by Mail
To vote in advance by mail you must apply for a ballot with your county election officer.
You may apply for an advance voting ballot from August 6 through October 31, 2008. We recommend that you apply for your ballot no later than October 24, 2008 to allow enough time to process your application.
Who can vote absentee
Any registered voter can vote by mail or in person before Election Day. No excuse is required. (Don't let not getting off of work be a reason not to vote!)
Questions
If you have any questions about advance voting you should check the Secretary of State web site or call your county election office.
Note: if you registered to vote by mail and have not yet voted in person, contact your county auditor to determine if you can vote absentee by mail or if there are special identification requirements with your application.
Voter Responsibility
The voter is solely responsible for complying with any and all election laws and voting requirements.
The deadline for registering to vote (not for absentee but for general voting) is October 20th for the state of Kansas. If you aren't registered go here and register.
