The Best Book I've Ever Read In My Life

I finished this book yesterday after reading for hours unable to put it down. I'd like to apologize to my husband for not leaving the couch and going to the grocery store, hopefully you scrounged up some food to eat this morning. It was that good.

I've read a lot of good books but have never been touched the way this book has touched me. Maybe its because I normally read non-fiction and the things that happen in fiction never actually happen in real life. I'm a fan of Nicholas Sparks movies but have never sat down to read one of his books. I went to bed thinking about it and woke up thinking about it this morning.

I told Guy how much I wanted this to be made into a movie and this morning my Google search gave me the answer I was looking for: it will be out sometime in 2009. The main character of the book, John, is going to be played by Channing Tatum which I think is perfect. That is probably just how I had him pictured, only maybe a little skinnier. My complaint though, is the choice of the other main character, Savannah, played by Amanda Seyfried. She's known to play the dumb blond and Savannah is anything but dumb. She is intelligent, articulate and very sweet. I also wouldn't have thought she was a blond. Maybe this will enhance Amanda Seyfried's career by showing another side. I think Emmy Rossum would have been my pick, and if I envision Savannah, I envision someone just like her.

Everyone should go to Amazon and order this immediately! I can't think of a single type of person that wouldn't enjoy this book, unless you're the type of person that was born with no heart.
