The morning went smooth and everything fell right into place. When my dad walked me down the aisle it really felt like some weird out of body experience, like I was watching it happen. There ceremony was sweet, but I had a few problems with the officiant. One, the vows were not what I wanted, they were the very traditional vows and the ones I had given her were slightly more modern. Also, the big upset was that she had us do the sand ceremony without ever saying anything about it and explaining the meaning. I'm sure many people didn't understand what we were doing and it is very meaningful in that the two sets of sand are joined into one, representing the new life we are starting together and that the two colors of sand can never be taken back apart and neither can we. But at the end of the day, we were still married and that is what matters.
