Friday Update, 7/11

Fifty-seven days remaining.

I cannot believe that the last few months have flown by like they have. We have less than two months until we're married. I am very eager for the wedding to be here, but am feeling, of course, a little stressed about getting things done. I really only have about seven weeks left to finish everything up, and I hope I am not at that seventh week writing this very same thing.

I am trying to remind myself how I came into this, which was laid back and worry-free. All I needed at the wedding was Guy, and although that is still the case, I have become very concerned with everything being perfect. I have managed to do the exact opposite of what I wanted to do during this process. My attempt as I go into this last stretch of planning is to take a deep breath and let it go. I want to enjoy this and soak everything in. I don't want to miss a moment of joy because I am too busy thinking about centerpieces. So if any of my family and friends reading this have any advice or suggestions, I am open to hearing them.

Sarah sent out the bridal shower invitations this week, which will be at my house on August 3rd. I think it should be a fun day of seeing friends and family and of course, eating cake. Sarah also sent the e-vite out for my bachelorette party, August 16th. That too should be a really fun night and I'm thankful for everyone who is dishing out the funds for our transportation that night - more than anything, I want us to all be safe.
